DESCRIPTION: 

This presentation will focus on occupational therapy interventions for common fractures of the wrist and hand.  The timeline for treatment, specific exercises, functional activities, and orthotic use will be reviewed for each fracture type.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the session, the learner will

1. Be aware of signs, symptoms, and causes of common wrist/hand fractures
2. Be able to identify functional limitations of common wrist/hand fractures
3. Be knowledgeable of effective interventions for common wrist/hand fractures
