OT can assess and treat neuropathies from the CNS and PNS. Fabrications of splints is an appropriate intervention for these.

Learner Objectives:
1. The learner will be able to perform skilled observation during an evaluation process of nerve pathologies

2. The learner will be able to differentiate type of orthotic required for function, protection, or positioning.

3. The learner will be able to identify appropriate positioning to improve function and decrease pain.

4. The learner will be able to choose appropriate orthotic material for fabrication.

5. The learner will be able to assess appropriate fit of the fabricated orthotic.
